A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation is committed to being a leading contributor to the cure of cancer by focusing on lung cancer treatments. Our mission is to fight lung cancer by 1) funding innovative research 2) promoting community involvement and 3) increasing awareness through education.
We hope to put an end to the smoking related stigma that plagues victims of the lung cancer diagnosis. Lung cancer is the cancer that is still whispered in crowded rooms that elicits the direct question, “did you smoke?” We want to bring it to the forefront that this is anyone’s cancer. Blame is a wasted effort and we should be vigorously seeking a cure for all cancers equally. A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation knows the value of research is priceless and change is possible. The Wellness Conference, 2009 is the first conference specifically designed for lung cancer survivors and their families in the Twin Cities. Because of the need for therapies beyond the oncology office, we are offering an inspiring and supportive environment to explore continued health of mind, body and spirit. The conference continues our mission to promote community involvement by increasing awareness through education.
