 A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation is committed to being a leading contributor to the cure of cancer by focusing on lung cancer treatments. Our mission is to fight lung cancer by 1) funding innovative research 2) promoting community involvement and 3) increasing awareness through education.
We hope to put an end to the smoking related stigma that plagues victims of the lung cancer diagnosis. Lung cancer is the cancer that is still whispered in crowded rooms that elicits the direct question, "did you smoke?" We want to bring it to the forefront that this is anyone's cancer. Blame is a wasted effort and we should be vigorously seeking a cure for all cancers equally. A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation knows the value of research is priceless and change is possible. We are here to help make that change possible by funding innovative lung cancer research projects that offer viable treatment options for lung cancer patients. Learn more about our efforts.

 Our dear friend Mike past away on Saturday March, 21st 2009 after living with lung cancer for nearly four years. Mike was a founding member of the Twin Cities Lung Run/Walk and A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation. He was passionate about spreading the word that never-smokers are affected by this disease. He traveled across the country speaking for Genentech, sharing his story. He was a dedicated teacher for 39 years and loved his students. His passions included entertaining friends and family and gardening. His infectious smile will never be forgotten.
