This program is designed to support researchers early in their careers, igniting their interest in lung cancer research and better preparing them to secure further funding later in their careers.

Dr. Bivona’s research seeks to understand how expression of the gene AXL promotes resistance to the drug erlotinib (Tarceva®). This grant is made possible by A Breath of Hope Lung Lung Foundation.

Event Co-Chair, 2010 Twin Cities Lung Walk & Run, will be interviewed by
Beth Kidd, Producer of Northern Lights Radio News (CBS).

The interviews will address Shanna’s journey with her Mom, Judy Golz, who fought the good fight against lung cancer. Judy was one of the founders of the Twin Cities Lung Walk & Run and A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation.

Sue will chat with Beth regarding the the medical aspects of lung cancer, history of our event, the subsequent creation of the foundation and the dedication of the organization to assist lung cancer patients/survivors and their families who so desperately need “A Breath of Hope.”
